We begin to pick up each passenger from their respective hotels at 6:30 am to begin heading towards the Sacred Valley, where we will visit 3 archaeological zones. Chincheros tourist center and colonial city. There we visited the church and the plaza for a period of about 20 minutes, then we will go to our second archaeological zone.
Maras Moray and Salineras for a period of approximately 1 hour. You will appreciate the traditional city of Maras to know its fascinating indigenous culture. The mysteries of the Terraces of Moray, a unique archaeological site with gigantic natural holes; and explore the salt mines used by the Incas to create commerce and prosper.
Then, continuing with the program, we go to the beautiful Urubamba Valley, where you can enjoy an exquisite lunch buffet. After this delicious lunch, we will head towards the Ollantaytambo Fortress to discover its impressive Temple of the Sun. During the Inca civil war, this imposing structure of 12 feet (3.5 m) served as a key defensive barrier. This tour will be approximately 40 minutes.
It is from Ollantaytambo that we will take the train to Aguas Calientes, where our assistant will wait for the group and take you to your accommodation, then our guide or his assistant will give you a briefing for your visit to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
During the last hours of the afternoon, the group will have a free time to explore and visit this beautiful town also called the Machu Picchu Village or enjoy a moment of relaxation in the thermal waters of Machu Picchu, we suggest that you must rest early, remember that you should get up very early in the morning to take the bus that will take you to the citadel of Machu Picchu where your guide will be waiting for the group.
We get ready around 4:30 am to climb to Machu Picchu, take the bus at 05:30 am, (it is recommended to be 30 minutes before) that will transport you to the citadel of Machu Picchu where our guide will be waiting to enter to the citadel just in time to see the spectacular sunrise. After passing the control entrance around 6:00 am, our group will have a private guided tour for 2 hours in the Inca citadel, and then passengers will be able to climb the Mountain of Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain according to their reservations. Enjoy Machu Picchu on your own. According to the scheduled departure time of your train, the group will descend to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where everyone will be picked up by our assistant at the Ollantaytambo train station, and transferred to our transport to take them back to the city of Cusco. (NOTE:The group must be at the train station in Aguas Calientes at least 30 minutes before departure). This tour ends in San Francisco Plaza, Cusco.
