Itinerary

Day 1Archaeological site Tipon, Lake Huaqarpay, Pikillaqta

We will pick you up from your hotel, heading south towards Puno, approximately 45 min from the city of Cusco. We find the archaeological site Tipon. At Tipon we can appreciate the Inka terraces, construction of ruins on ancestral grounds and also creations of hydraulic irrigation canals from Inka time. After that we will continue to Lake Huaqarpay, a protected area at the top of a plateau in the Andean town of Pikillaqta, which is a pre-Inca citadel built by the Wari culture. The last point that we will visit is Andahuaylillas, a village with a small chapel known as the Rome of America, where we see paintings by renowned painters from Cusco, massive ceilings and pristine architecture. Finally, we return to Cusco.
