The other reason to visit Pisac is the artisanal market where we can find unique and authentic handcrafted items. At midday we will head towards the town of Urubamba where we will have a delicious buffet lunch and you’ll have the opportunity to try traditional Peruvian food. Urubamba was one of the principal centres of agriculture in the Incan empire. After lunch we will continue to the fortress town of Ollantaytambo, this Incan city served as an important religious, political and agricultural place. Ollantaytambo is the only Incan city which maintained its original design. It is from Ollantaytambo that we take the train to Aguas Calientes. The next day we will visit Machu Picchu early.
