Our team will pick you up early in Cusco to head to Mollepata, where we will begin our challenge on the Salkantay Trail. We will cross breathtaking landscapes and arrive in Soraypampa, where we will camp and enjoy the majestic views of the Salkantay Mountain.
Day 2: Soraypampa – Salkantay Pass – Chaullay 🏔️🚶♀️
Today will be a challenging but rewarding day. We will ascend to the highest point of the trek, the Salkantay Pass, at 4,600 metres above sea level. We will be rewarded with spectacular views of snow-capped peaks and green valleys. We will then descend to Chaullay, where we will camp and rest after an intense day.
Day 3: Chaullay – La Playa – Santa Teresa 🌳🚶♂️
We will continue our hike through diverse landscapes and changes in vegetation. We will pass through the cloud forest and appreciate a great variety of flora and fauna. Then we will arrive at La Playa, where we will take a vehicle to Santa Teresa. There, we will enjoy relaxing thermal baths to recover from the journey.
Day 4: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco 🚂⛰️🌄
Early in the morning, we will take a transport to the Hydroelectric Plant, from where we will walk to the mythical Machu Picchu. Our guide will lead us through this archaeological wonder, giving us information about its history and culture. Afterwards, we will take the train back to Cusco, where we will drop you off at your hotel to rest after this exciting adventure.
